Tours are available most weekdays and weekends and consist of an information session and an introduction to academic life at Hofstra. You will have the opportunity to go on a walking tour of campus with one of our Pride Guides to explore Hofstra’s residence halls and many of the academic facilities available to you here.

Open Houses and College for a Day
Spend the day on Hofstra's campus and let the members of the Hofstra community welcome you and share information about our academic and student life programs. Special interest tours are scheduled immediately following a regular campus tour. While regular campus tours will walk through all of the facilities as part of an overview, the special interest tours are opportunities to see specialized facilities and equipment up close. You may register for both the campus tour and a specialty tour on the same day, or for a specialty tour only.
The Arts

Hofstra has a rich cultural life. In this special tour you’ll visit our theaters, our drama department and its costume shop and shops, our music rehearsal areas, our fine arts studios and the Hofstra Museum.

- Cheerleading
The Hofstra Cheerleading program is currently comprised of one nationally recognized co-ed squad. The squad promotes school spirit for the University's athletic teams, such as the men's and women's basketball teams. Cheer performances are also requested at university festivals and admission events. See when tryouts will be held.
- Dance
An audition is required for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. Additionally, students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in dance will audition for placement in technique classes, and to determine Activity Grant awards. Get more information.
- Dance Team
The Hofstra University Dance Team is an exciting and competitive collegiate dance team that performs at university athletic events as well as other events held on and off campus. See when tryouts will be held.
- Drama
A portfolio review is required for students interested in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in production. Additionally, students interesting in pursuing a BFA in performance or Bachelor’s degree (BA) in theater arts will audition to determine initial offerings of Activity Grants to first-year students. All students wishing to declare a major in Music Performance, Music Merchandising, Music Education, Music Theory/Composition, Jazz and Commercial Music, or Music History/Literature must audition for acceptance into these programs. Get more information.
