Welcome to the Office of Financial Affairs

Welcome to Hofstra University’s Office of Financial Affairs. The Office of Financial Affairs provides oversight of the finance functions of the University – accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, investments and debt management, procurement, contract administration, and payroll services, and the oversight of the University’s internal controls systems and environment.

The Office of Financial Affairs is segregated as follows:

  • Controllers’ Office includes accounts payable, payroll, grants management, and tax issues;
  • Business Affairs - includes procurement, risk management & insurance, and auxiliary management; 
  • Contract Administration;
  • Debt management and capital budgeting;
  • Treasury Operations, provides oversight to cash and long-term investment management; and
  • Budget Office -  responsible for preparation and monitoring of operating budget activity
